Perhaps we should start by cutting off the billions of aid we send to these country's, I'd like to think were cutting the head off the snake.

I agree with that. Egypt get 1 B a year for defense. Against who? Isreal who we provide for their defense. A lot of our aid money is bribe money. The money Egypt gets was after the Camp David Accords. And plut the 1 B they get 25 B more for humanitarian aid
Yup. A lot of the 'financial aid' that we provide is no different than giving a bully your lunch money, so he'll leave you alone that day. A practice that our politicians clearly brought forward from their childhood.

One of the most common things I saw for sale in the bazaars in Afghanistan (at least the ones near American bases) were small rugs depicting the burning towers, as well as scenes from the ensuing invasion. The troops bought them by the dozen.
In Brazil, McDonald's has a promotion once a year called "McDia Feliz," or McHappy Day. I was out at a pub one evening and saw a guy wearing a McDia Feliz t-shirt, with a big "golden arches" design on it. Upon closer inspection, the arches traced the routes of two airplanes, which were poised to crash into the top of two tall, rectangular buildings. This scene, of course, was depicted above the words "Happy Day." It took all of my diplomatic skills - and a bit of strongarming - to keep a couple of my veteran companions from stomping that guys head in...

I would imagine that many of the people over there might feel that same way about the comments being made on this thread as we do about that t-shirt.
