Please watch the reaction on the video. What do you think this auto fire-starting reaction is?

Potassium Permanganate and Glycerin?

and....I know that you know why I'm asking. Because I would rather D.I.Y. make some than buy them.



I've tried Potassium Permanganate and Glycerin before and I always needed more than 2 drops of Glycerin for a fire reaction and this seems to continue to burn all the way down the entire capsule.
I'm thinking permanganate by itself would not do that by itself.
Would there be anything else added in AKA combined in w/ the Permanganate if it is Potassium Permanganate?

You will get the same reaction with copper sulfate and glycerin. Learned the hard way in chemistry class in HS.
