I did not list all weapons systems like the USS Enterprise (carrier) (Star Trek IV) or F-104 Starfighter with AIM-9 missles (TOS:Yesterday is Tomorrow)

I actually just watched the newest Star Trek movie on FX an hour ago. I was a fan of the original series, a part time fan of the New Generation, and went to see many of the Movies. Interestingly enough, they've gone back to hardball ammo from the sounds of things. Maybe it has better effects than the electronic sounds of a phaser blast? Interesting observations though.

I'm now watching Zombieland on FX.....rule #2.....double tap! I like it. Only reasons I ever thought about a Desert Eagle in 50AE was mainly due to the Matrix movie.
Movies. Despite how futuristic they are or what they intend to portray as advanced times of humanity.......there are always weapons of some sort and ways to defend or attack. This tells us a lot. Survival will always revolve around weapons and our use of them defensively or otherwise.

    Thanks for posting!!
I LOVED the original series and followed it until they put the original crew out to pasture after STAR TREK VI. All of the other spin-offs seem to pale in comparison to me, but I'm sure SOME fans found some of them superior to TOS.

TOS rules! Everything else is but a pale imitation.

I grew up in the DS9/Voyager era. The new series (Enterprise) I don't know if I could stomach it.

I've watched about half of TOS, and all of TNG. Working on DS9 and Voyager.

So far, I've enjoyed all of it. And, yes, all of the 'antique' weapons that they get in for cameos.

Please take everything I say with at least one grain of salt- I am a very sarcastic person with a very dry sense of humor.

Calico is sure popular for making things seem 'futuristic', eh?

Good thing the March of Dimes worked. How, why?

It would be interesting to see an entire series that takes place in the mirror universe.

What does this tell us? 1911's and Thompson's will NEVER go out of style.

I'm a little surprised & disappointed! You mean, in all the Dixon Hill episodes, they never featured a Colt Dick Special??? Guess I wasn't paying enough attention.
