"Sheepdog" sounds so lame...
I know that there is history behind armed civilians being referred to a "Sheepdogs", but the term just strikes me as being lame and inadequate.
Maybe "guard-dog" would be a LITTLE better since it doesn't categorize the rest of humanity as sheep. I'm sorry, but my family and loved ones are NOT sheep... Nor, are my property and possessions.
The term... while logical, seems highly presumptuous and wreaks of "WEAKNESS". For me it conjures up images of the goofy Looney Tunes character "Ralph" the sheepdog.
Gun owners and supporters of the 2nd Amendment have plenty of stereotypes to over come without being portrayed as an over-weight dog with a Justin Bieber haircut.
What are your thoughts on the label that we're often dubbed with?
