Know what you mean, a good bet is to keep an eye out for estate auctions sometimes you can make good deals on tractors and implements.

Sadly, we already have one of those. Ours doesn't have the cool tires though.
Upon closer inspection of the photo I can see that ours is different. Ours is a two speed electric transmission John Deer mud pie hauler.

Depending on what you need done, you can usually hire it done too. You are correct though, sir. Expensive.

51 acres, but a good part of that is woods. About 15 acres of actual yard/field.
I guess it depends on the price of the work. In the long run I know it will be cheaper to do it myself. I have big plans crammed into my tiny brain. : )This is what your thread title made me think of...........

You are looking for used, right? There are some really great deals on used equipment out there.

Hey "Timmy" it's just a thought, but can you get by with an ATV. They're making all sorts of farm implements and attachments for ATV's now.
Primarily for food plots, but if you're only dealing with 15acres to till/mow it might work for you.

Look into the Ford, New Holland, Kubota models that come with a bush hog, front end loader, trailer and usually one other implement for around $20,000
