How long has he been a dealer... his price will be a bit higher than open market... he's got o'head... So now you can dicker a bit.. and maybe get some annual service/check/repair thrown in for free in one year?

And are you gonna farm or putz?

I'm gonna go look at it in the morning. If anyone else has anything I should know feel free to post it.

It sounds like it's in the ball park as far as price. I looked a few years ago before I got a Deer for 17k with a loader and back hoe with 100hrs, ( that green paint is expensive ). It's only 28 hp though, but I love it. 4x4 and it's done everything asked of it. The smaller size makes it easy to trailer also. If you get a bush hog for it, do yourself a favor and get the largest one that it will handle. It will save tons of time. Being 45hp, that should be no problem. Good luck with whatever you get, you'll have fun.

If it turns out to be a bad deal, you can blame it on SIXTO!

you can get a good ford n9 or n8 for $2500/3000 here in texas. the thing about tractors is the engine in the only thing out side of the tires that take a beating

It seems around here anyway, that price, minus the back hoe, which you may never use anyway, you can get a massey ferguseon Case IH, Ford or Kubota.I have a 1975 Massey 255 Diesel which had 1120 hrs on it in 2001, cost: $5600. It has almost 1300 on it now. Plow snow& brush hog, wish it had a front bucket, but oh well.

I think you might try to get him down in price a bit.

    Good luck.

I have a Mahindra. I have had lots of problems. It is not the only tractor I own. I would not buy another one. I will most likely get a Kubota next time.

    Yup you sure did.

I thought allot about this tractor the last day and a half. After praying about it I'm still not sure it's the right move for me, in fact I think it's not so I'm going to pass on it.

My main reason is that I would need to finance some of it and I just don't think I want to do that right now (or ever). It's a big, bad mamma jamma of a tractor but I'm not sure I really need that much of a tractor to putz (<-I used that just for you oakchas) around on my little farm. I also know I don't want any sort of monthly payment (even an affordable one).

Thanks allot guys for the help.

Well, open mouth insert foot. I bought it. The guy kept coming down and it was just too good to pass up. Final price 12.5. How do you pass that up when a tractor half that size goes for 15-18K new?

Pics on Friday when it gets delivered.

Congrats and good luck with it. My dad's got a New Holland, and I like OLD stuff.
