I want one. It will go with the one that says, "We don't call 911 but we will call the coroner"
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd taken better care of myself when I was youner

I've practiced that long before times got hard. Only warning shot given is COM.

It warns the BG that if they don't lay down and wait quietly for the ambulance and police, they'll get shot again.

Bad news with a 'warning shot' is if that's all you do you might be charged. Many localities have laws against discharging a weapon. Recently posted on this forum was a man in the northeast (forgot what state) that shot into the ground to warning a burglar. He called police and the burglar was arrest and the shooter was also charged for the discharge.

Years ago, as a soldier, some of my deployments has stupid rules of engagement. We were told to shoot to warn and then shoot to wound. Our platoon leader would pass out a document for us to sign. I always threw mine in the trash and nobody noticed, since it was a stupid order anyway.

My later deployments were a bit more reasonable on this issue.

As a civilian, warning shots open up a few ways for things to go wrong. There is the case of the warning shot killing a woman a great distance away. Also, there is the possible idea of this being like brandishing, since the warning shot might be interpreted as not part of a life and death battle. As a guys out there said, every round fired has a lawyer attached to it.

Also, the warning shot may indicate to the attacker you are reluctant to shoot him. This may embolden the attacker and maybe you really were afraid to shoot a living human being after all.

I am a firm believer that a few warning shots should be standard operating procedure. Fired of course into the air..............In the badguys lungs.
