Appears to be a racial attack. Perhaps not the New Black Panthers but very possible they were inspired by all the rhetoric from Al Sharpton or the NBPs call for a race war. I did see another news report that the victim may have permanent facial disfigurement to to the beating.

Tactically, (there's that word again) it's really dumb for the New Black Panthers to call for a fight. African Americans represent about 12% of the population --- a rather small amount. The thug portion of that 12% is something much less then that. There are probably more white deer hunters in the country then there are black thugs.

I think the biggest problem with the media its they are more concerned with getting it first than getting it right. "News" programs are a revenue stream for the networks. The higher their ratings the more they can charge for commercials. It its actually in their interest to sensationalize and perhaps mislead. Even if they are not advancing their particular agenda, if they can stir up protests that its something else they can exploit. Far too many news organizations have crossed the line from reporting the story to creating the story.

As I said before, "black" and "white" are not races. If one chooses to lecture folks, they should at least make an effort to use correct terminology.

While the term "hispanic" use to mean people with ancestors from the Iberian pennisula, it is now used in the US for pretty much any one with Spanish/Portugeuse ancestors including those from the caribbean who also have African ancestors.

Why is skin color such an issue in this country? Stupid is stupid and knows no color...... there is stupid in every cross section of society, from trailer trash white sheets, to ghetto thugs, to coyotes and cartel members, to suicide bombers... they all need to be cleansed from the gene pool

I don't know why it is, it's stupid, and ignorant and I agree with you completely. On that note though I think many of the minorities are responsible for the perpetuation of racism; ex: Congressional Black Caucus, Black Entertainment Television, Black History Month, etc. I mean what kind of an uproar would be heard if there was a White Congressional Caucus, or Anglo Saxon TV? Perpetuating the problem.......
