    Looking for a novel

Haven't been posting much lately, but something tickled my memory recently.

A while back -could be as much as a couple years ago- I read a post here about a novel someone was writing. They had posted the first few chapters as a teaser, but I never saw the end result. What I read was pretty fun, though.

I seem to remember it being about a man (possibly a cop?) who is selected to join a "high-speed" team of sorts. The main appeal was the detailed, and from what I can recall, accurate, depiction of firearms and their usage.

A couple things that I remember in particular are the custom 1911 that the woman who brought him on-board had built for herself, and the man's impressive pump shotgun shooting (he loaded a shell each time he ran the action).

If anyone happens to know what the heck I'm talking about, I'd love to know what it's called. I'm really interested in buying the e-book if at all possible.

    Thanks all!
