    Typical Gunsmith Rates

I got a stripped lower and parts kit for an AR-15 a few weeks ago intending to build it, but I haven't really had the time to sit down and put it together. What should I expect to pay if I took it to a smith for assembly? Would it most likely just be their hourly rate?

Most smiths have a minimum bench charge, in the neighborhood of $20-$50. Installing a LPK takes about 20 minutes.
