Yup, I think you're onto something. Also another gun/camera guy who also used to do some freelance photo stuff (35mm) but now strictly digital....

And another one here also, now digital only (Canon EOS).
I have some pretty nice pics from recent trips but nothing as professional as some of these.

Guess I need more practice and more info (just like shooting). Hey wait, they are both shooting.

    Nice Pics!

I love to take photos, but find I don't have the time to devote to it as much as I would like.

To be honest, I don't take good photos. Some are worth a thousand words, like the beauties above. Very nice. Mine, on the other hand, are worth three at best: OMG.

CCW9 - well, that really was down to just patience. I found the fella on our zucini plant and basically took a load of pics from different angles and now and again he moved and I took more. Lucked out on that one

Much ''wildlife'' pic taking is 99% frustration and 1% success - with much patience in between.

Yeah, my husband used to have the 5700 but now has the Nikon D70. The 5700 was great while it lasted, but alas, the lens' worm gear broke. That's definately something you never have to worry about with SLRs; also the 5700 was a pain to get it to focus on exactly what you wanted sometimes. Does Nikon even carry the 5700 anymore?

I now have a Casio Exilim which is an incredible pocket camera with many selections. There's alot of time when I prefer using it to the D70, just because it's so quick to setup and it focuses so quickly. But that D70 picks up such phenomal details.
