I had a student (girl) named Remmington. I asked her if her brother's name was Winchester or Marlin. She cocked her head sideways and looked at me funny. Guess not.

My Freshman year roommate in 1993 was Richard Johnson. And if you remember the early 90's a popular t shirt was the Big Dick Johnson t shirts. I had a few and wore them in front of him...

One of my kids' classmates was a girl named Ocean. At a PTA work session, the mom was asked how she came to name her daughter that, and the answer was that she was conceived on an ocean voyage. Well, one of the local ministers was part of the group, and he said - I kid you not - if he'd done the same, his daughter would be named Utility Closet!

No guns but I cashed a check for a young lady named clitoris jones.

I did everything I could to make sure that id was legit!

Not gun related, but my dad went to school with a Harold Arnold Hole. (Harry A. Hole)

A girl I knew from high school with the last name Sword gave her daughter the middle name Katana.

Totally off topic, but Bill Lear, the founder of Lear Jet, and his fourth wife named one of their daughters Chanda Lear and one of theirs son David Cava Lear. While on the topic of "who cares", Bill Lear also invented the first car radio with another co-inventor (forming Motorola) and also invented the Eight-track tape.

I'd rather be a "Colt" or "Barrett" than a "Kimber" though.

I have relative, mother's cousin's kid named Remington. Their last name is Steele. And yes I believe he is named after the gun.
