    Agreed, but while using the sofa as a backstop when loading or clearing a weapon is safe if an accidental discharge did ever occur I'd rather use something less expensive just in case.

    Nope, just PowerPoint. Do a lot of viewgraph presentations, so I'm fairly versatile with it.

    In my 65+ years of handling firearms I have never had a pistol or rifle go off when chambering a round. Like everyone before me said, point in a safe direction and keep your finger away from the trigger. Neff said.

    I just point it in a safe direction (corner where the walls and floor come together), or at the picture of my mother in law.
