    Boom! Meat on the table.

I plugged a monster turkey today on the new farm. He was by far the biggest turkey I've ever shot. 23lbs, 21 1/2 dressed. 10 1/2 inch beard.

    Enjoy:

What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."

Yup, he was a biggun. It was a little tough lugging him back to the house.

Nice. We congratulate you and offer our support for buying the farm, and you thank us all by flipping us the bird.

But seriously, that bird is awesome! As my LL Bean Cookbook says, when it comes to eating, the pheasant may be the king of table fare, but the wild turkey is the Emperor!

BTW, your little Noodle looks awfully proud of her dad!

I remember way back one Thanksgiving (when we were little kids) ~ My Dad sliced the turkey and gave everybody their nice slices and then he put the tail on a plate for my little Sister and told her..."You're LUCKY!...You Get The Part That Went Over The Fence Last!" ....and she looked down at it on her plate and started crying.

Nice bird Timmy. Are you going to mount the tail, spurs and beard? How long were the spurs?

    Nice!

Looks like "Thanksgiving" came a bit early this year thanks to your efforts and a cooperative Tom Turkey!

Daughter does indeed look proud of Papa and she's probably wanting some turkey for dinner too!

    Way to go Timmy!
