Death Row Inmate Wants Hip Surgery
This guy has lost all appeals for his death sentence. Now he wants hip replacement for his "agonizing pain" before they jab the needle in his arm and dispatch the cretin into the next world.
What about the "pain" of the victims and their families? They don't get any replacement for what he took. Guess he doesn't figure he owes them anything.
They really should opperate on him, though, and over do the anesthesia so he never wakes up in this life. That should "fix" his pain.

I'm not a surgeon, but I do have some tools and I'd be willing to take a crack at this procedure, just for him.

All he needs is some good pain displacement therapy,or maybe a nice nap.

Let's just you lie down and we stick these needles in your arm and we will fix you right up.

I propose a new rule: if you're on Death Row and you have serious medical needs, you move to the front of the line (for the needle).

Take a hammer to the other hip and I bet he will forget about the pain on the other side.

My sentiments exactly, why make him suffer any longer than necessary, just move him to the front of the line.

No, don't kill him giving him the easy way out, refuse the surgery and let him sit in prison for life. He will suffer for the rest of his life.

One DR guy I'm prosecuting has pancreatic cancer, and is in bad shape. He is hospitalized and I'm hoping he goes soon. Killer / rapist of 2 young girls.

He is guilty beyond any possible doubt. Just costing the taxpayers money at this point.

Wow guys and gals where are the supporters of the constitutional rights of these guys mentioned?
They have the right not to be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment but yet you propose torture and withholding medical care? Come on folks choose a side and stay on it.
Either you support the rights afforded to them from the constitution fairly and equally across the board or you don't. You can't pick and choose regardless of what crime they committed or what they did to their victims.

I don't believe, not providing elective surgery at taxpayers expense would constitute cruel and unusual punishment. Keep in mind that health care is not a Constitutional right unless you are a liberal, socialist do-gooder, political-type with an agenda who picks and chooses what he likes and dislikes about the Constitution. Why not simply apply the right to a speedy trial and a speedier execution instead of our present system of coddling murderers and rapists so that they live decades after convictions while shyster lawyers try and make a name for themselves with endless appeals. I'm for breaking the other hip so he has a matching pair.
