Paranoia strikes deep, into your life it will creep. It starts when you're always afraid... Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth
After going back and reading previous posts on this thread, I can almost say for certain I am the only member on this forum that listens to hip-hop/rap.
Not everyone who listens to it is a gang banging, dro smoking, cadillac driving criminal!
Living a life free from fear, means being able to protect it at all times.

drake, weezy, and all that other stuff to me isn't music. i call it cRAP. there's no message. not even a humorous one. and what is up with all these new style "beats"? it's like you're hearing a little kid with downs on a beat machine. it's all the same mindless materialistic bull$hit. honestly, aesop is probably my fave. it's hard as hell to follow what he's saying most of the time. but at least you're listening to something original and intricate. look up this guy, blockhead. he does a lot of producing for aesop, but he's got his own albums. i like to listen to music that stimulates my mind. the way del flows and pitches his voice is just amazing. immortal technique, atmoshere, apathy, are some others worth listening to. there are a few "commercial" acts i like a lot though. like outkast, eminem, wu tang, lupe fiasco, kid cudi, dmx, beastie boys, and cypress hill. see a pattern? non of this gets any airtime because what most people want to hear is, "b***h, 'benz, bottle of bub. yo.". it's sad really. the only thing i listen to the radio for is my morning talk show and country believe it or not.
