China condemns U.S. gun ownership as human rights violation - Wow!

    David Codrea
    Gun Rights Examiner
    May 29, 2012

A report issued by the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China has included U.S. gun ownership among a list of human rights violations.......

    (Um, ah, OK............)

    ...(snip)....

“The United States prioritizes the right to keep and bear arms over the protection of citizens' lives and personal security and exercises lax firearm possession control, causing rampant gun ownership,” the report claims. “The U.S. people hold between 35 percent and 50 percent of the world' s civilian-owned guns, with every 100 people having 90 guns [and] 47 percent of American adults reported that they had a gun............................”

    (Um, ah, OK............)

Go USA Citizens! You just pissed China off because you, as individuals, have God Given human rights!

    ...(snip)....

Predictably, the (Chinese) report presents many of the same cherry-picked arguments used by “leading” U.S. and international “gun control” organizations that totally ignore the protective benefits of arms in private hands.

    ...(snip)....

Left unsaid, it is the inconvenient truth that rendering captive populations unable to resist makes such monstrous crimes against humanity not only possible, but inevitable.

My Comments: HA! Explains why they are pushing for the UN Small Arms Treaty.

I wonder how long it will take for our government to cite China's complaint as further proof that we need more gun control. If not a total ban.

Given our debt to them it wouldn't surprise me at all if they call their loans and demand the disarmament of the general population.

A violation of basic human rights would be for America to pay any attention to any issue China has on any human rights issue.

If we are angering China ....we must be doing something right.

Of course China wants the civilian population disarmed. They are building up their military and see armed citizens as a threat to them...should they decided to add the US to their assets.

Despots and Totalitarian regimes always fear and hate armed peasants, and if the Chinese government has their sites set on America as a subservient vassal state, well, why not try to get the UN or US Government to do the disarming for them?

This is China trying to discredit America in an attempt to ignore its own shoddy record. It's all propaganda.

I wander if this means China will stop exporting firearms to the US? Probably not. It should mean that the US gun owning population should stop buying firearms with Made in China stamped on them.

The pot calls the kettle black. When China gets it together on human rights I might consider listening to what they have to say.

IMHO, that is the only way they would take us over. I believe one of their neighbors said it best.

Thinly-veiled violators, the drafters of that excrescence. IMO, the only violation is the denial of a person's absolute right to defend against unprovoked violation, even if that defense utilizes a firearm.

When it comes to human rights violations China has on many occasions shown their expertise in being cruel and inhuman.
