We camped in areas where it wasn't a matter whether you would see any bears, it was a matter of how many and when. We took many precautions with food, etc. But, my Ex one day asked me why I didn't seem real concerned about the bears.... and I told her , "because I can run alot faster than you can". I could see this look on her face like the wheels were turning in her brain.... and she seemed to be thinking that one over all day.
