Red face Clips and magazines, oh my

In another thread one member is correcting another over clips versus magazines terminology.

Let me set the record straight. Clips are for hair and magazines are for reading. Cylinders, now there is something for holding ammunition.

Hope everyone can have some fun and enjoy in the spirit it was written.

Yeah, I use the correct term for this, but I am loathe to correct anyone else. To me this is too close to political correctness and speech policing.

I'll correct a friend one or twice but if it doesn't stick....whatever. Other than that, we cannot help the great unwashed.

I see nothing wrong with throwing the correct word out there to someone that may not know that there is a difference. I've corrected my kids and maybe a couple of others but never made them do any pushups or anything.

My nephew, who fancies himself a 'gun guy' keeps calling them clips. I corrected him once, but then let it go.

He's planning on going to Marine OCS when he graduates college next year. I figure they'll clue him in.

Ok now THAT one would probably involve some pushups.

i wont slow up a conversation to correct someone if it is not important to the discussion.
off to the side, later, i may explain the difference as it goes to how some will take what you have to say
about other aspects of a topic if you do not have the terminology straight.

....i'm trying to work cocker, roach & clip into a sentance but a falcon just nabbeed a chipmonk off of my front porch & is feasting.
gonna try for the camera b4 it finishes lunch.

A clip would never hold a Tx "Roach" anything less than a 10 pound weight and they'll just run away with it
