The callous attitudes some posters are displaying is reprehensible. Rodney King was no great guy but nor was he some arch criminal mastermind. If you take joy in his death you are a small minded bitter person.
Many probably claim to be good Christians as well. Because you know jebus loved ******* on people's graves.
Maybe someone will be taking joy in your death someday!

This thread has me questioning whether I want to be part of this forum. I'm not sure why all the hatred for the man. He did not cause the riots!

Personally I don't hate him, nor am I glad he's dead... It's just indifferent to me.
He's one of many who died, that's all. Sad day for those who loved him I'm sure... I wouldn't think anyone who never met me would care when I die either, we all go some day.
I'm just not going to pretend I care.
Whatever anyone thinks of the guy, of his life, of his ways, his utterance, "can't we all just get along," is
a classic of American life and history; and a comment more of us need to think about deeply.
If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.
I suppose his demise will change some lives, but not mine.

I really don't think anyone here "celebrates" the death of someone, anyone, even those who are somewhat famous. Sure, there is the occasional bit out of frustration or because that person was imbroiled in a controversy. But, to call some of us malevolent because of a word or two is definitely over the top.
Rodney King made his decisions in life and may have went down a path that ultimately led to the incident in question. I don't think that he woke up that day and asked to be beaten by some LA cops while resisting arrest.
Even in death, he may even be responsible for his own demise. It would appear that he possibly drowned while highly intoxicated on whatever he was injesting at the time. Foul play may not be a factor.
For whatever reasons, he has died and it won't change or impact some people, some it just might. Death is the one thing we all will face someday, Rod my boy, you are no different than the rest of us.
With that, maybe he will find some peace, who knows?

I'm waiting for the calls for the banning, or at least registration of those dangerous swimming pools. Perhaps people should have to show that they've had some training with certification.
I really have no comment on King. I care exactly as much about his death that he would care about mine.
I will comment on this though...~~~> "Maybe someone will be taking joy in your death someday!"
If I was dead - How could I care?
When I die - take my donated organs and then tie a bone to my ass and let the dogs drag what's left down the alley. It couldn't make any difference to me.
Rodney King never wanted any publicity, nor notoriety .... he just wanted to live his life and be Rodney King. It was other people who wanted to make it into something else, and we should all understand that one.
RIP Rodney...... seems like your life was one constant struggle. Maybe now they'll leave you alone.

Now that's self control...
I think, therefore I am...
Someone help me out here. Does this fall under 'Off Topic' or 'Humor'?
I tend to find this especially humorus!
Forgot to add. King crapped the bed, in the pool. ewe! Now some poor guy who works for a living has to clean the pool.
