    Exclamation Emergency Planning: Colorado Fires, Evacuations and Related Matters

    Notes to the unprepared:

    The highways may be closed. Do you have an alternative route planned?
    Do you have enough fuel for that alternative route? Maps? Provisions? Safety gear?
    Do you have Emergency BOB's ready?
    Do you include water and provisions? Toilet paper?

    That's a very minor list based on news reports today from the Colorado Springs Waldo Canyon Fire:

    Gasoline stations are out of gas;
    Stores are out of water, many staples, and toilet paper.......

    I shudder in disbelief. The news reports today were entertaining, frightening, amusing and disheartening.

    "But if they don't exist, how can a man see them?"

    "You may think I'm pompous, but actually I'm pedantic... let me explain the difference."

    "Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize for anything."
