Trilogy of Terror got me, at the time, with those little stabbing ankle-biters running around. Not exactly an oldie, but not bad for the genre.
Myself, I prefer some of the greats from Rod Serling's Twilight Zone and from Hitchcock. Oldies and goodies, many of those.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That one really got to me - I saw it as a kid. I remember how easy those teenagers got taken and how they couldn't get away. Surely it was when I first subconsciously knew I'd be a concealed carrier for life. :yup:

I fell asleep one time while the exorcist was playing in the background. Never had such vivid, evil, nightmares.
It's a good thing that I didn't have guns when I was young and watched The Exorcist the first time. I'd have had holes all over my bedroom walls.Quote:

First one that scared me good was Exorcist. Prayed all the way home.
Jaws scared me too. In a different way.
First good blood and gore realism for me was Taxi Driver with De Niro. ' member when he shot the fingers off the guy coming up the stairs?
First good sci fi for me was The Day The Earth Stood Still.
