Myself, I prefer some of the greats from Rod Serling's Twilight Zone and from Hitchcock. Oldies and goodies, many of those.

Yeah, they really got "the look" down just right, when her head turned all the way around and she gave him the stink-eye.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That one really got to me - I saw it as a kid. I remember how easy those teenagers got taken and how they couldn't get away. Surely it was when I first subconsciously knew I'd be a concealed carrier for life.

Exorcist! However, when I was about 8 I went to see "Elephant Walk" there was a scene where a rubber plantation worker gets covered and devoured by ants, it was not a good night's sleep I got that night!

What are your favorite old terror movies?

Anything with Nancy Pelosi in it scares the crap out of me.

I fell asleep one time while the exorcist was playing in the background. Never had such vivid, evil, nightmares.
It's kind of like how some people have a sudden and insatiable desire to talk about vampires after the Twilight series became popular, except zombies are much less gay and more likely to exist one day

It's a good thing that I didn't have guns when I was young and watched The Exorcist the first time. I'd have had holes all over my bedroom walls.

    "Airplane"

An airliner in distress gives me nightmares!!
Asked by a CNN reporter "What do you feel when you shoot a terrorist"?, the Marine sniper simply shrugged & replied "recoil".

Now more than ever, we are at war on our home soil ... WAKE UP & arm our troops when they are on home soil!

That entire film still bothers me, though for other reasons.

But for some unfathomable reason The Poseidon Adventure still holds a spot in my heart. Go figure. Drive-in night with the family. Ahhhh, those were the days.

First one that scared me good was Exorcist. Prayed all the way home.

Jaws scared me too. In a different way.

First good blood and gore realism for me was Taxi Driver with De Niro. ' member when he shot the fingers off the guy coming up the stairs?

First good sci fi for me was The Day The Earth Stood Still.
