Looks like a auto breakin waiting to happen. Also, does not look all that comfortable.

I had a friend in high school that had 1 arm and the state mandated that she have a knob on the wheel to drive. Worked out fine for her, but it was more like a ball and smooth.

My mother had an uncle who put one on his John Deere lawn tractor. It was the subject of many laughs. So many that I still remember it today and he's been gone for 25+ years.

I remember one of those on a '66 Ford Galaxy 500. Power steering smooth as glass....unless the engine died, and then a gorilla couldn't turn that freaking wheel :)

Suicide knob, baby moons and fender skirts! Forgot about all three until I read the title of the thread.

I forgot about those steering wheel knobs. I never had one but as a kid my cousin put one on his bicycle, his Sunday-school-teacher-mother walked by it one day and saw the knob, which had a girlie-type picture on it. Needless to say it came off the bike.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

It would leave an interesting mark at least. Can you imagine explaining how you got whacked in the head with an open cylinder.

I've got one on our Kubota L Series....actually works out really well, and makes mowing a lot more enjoyable.

(Picture was only on my phone because one day I was mowing and my ex kept calling and texting me, so I sent this to her and she got the hint)

Had one on the John Deere. That give me an idea. Mount one up to hold my loose bullets. That way they aren't rolling around on the floor or in my ash tray.

We sure didn't call them suicide knobs! I've got one on a old Ford tractor that helps a lot - especially if you don't have power steering. I had a friend that got his wrist broken by a spinning _ knob. The older ones are bringing pretty good prices at garage/estate sales.

I've seen them in a number of small tractors, combines and grain trucks.

The big cats use friction steering, so they're about the only type of farm equipment I've never seen one on.
