About LinkBacksIt's 101 degrees at 6pm here in central Ky. We have had no rain for two weeks now. Ponds are receding and creeks are drying up. Only good thing is I haven't had to mow grass in awhile.

It's 101 degrees at 6pm here in central Ky. We have had no rain for two weeks now. Ponds are receding and creeks are drying up. Only good thing is I haven't had to mow grass in awhile.

Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

It was 98 on my little mountain top at 5:50 pm and I'm supposed to be in the higher elevation. Have to make sure the horse and goats have plenty of fresh water for the next few days.

Used my IR thermometer on the blacktop parking lot out back... 127 degrees...
I think I'll bring some eggs tomorrow for lunch; fry them on the ground.

It is a bit too warm even for here. We've been over 100 a couple of days, and that usually doesn't happen
till later in mid-July or even into August.
I feel sorry for those who have to be out and about in the afternoons. Maybe its my age and health,
but just walking from car to store and back to car, getting into an overheated car, is a bit much for me.
