Somebody photoshopped that picture. It has been circulating a lot on social media. The original date in Back to the Future II was October 21, 2015.

Me too. There were a lot less socialists in high places back then.I'd go back to 1985 in a heart beat.

There's a DeLorean in Teller County, but it doesn't fly. Marty doesn't drive it either, or the Professor.

Marty gets to the future and instead of just Biff Palace and Hill Valley in ruin, he finds the whole world affected by the temporal shift in the space-time continuum.
All governments are insolvent - printing worthless currency while their own central banks buy bonds and stuff up balances of zombie banks. Economic conditions are as bad as the Great Depression except that one quarter of GDP is government spending. Interest on debt is 40% of the budget, so if interest rates ever rise to historic norms, it would equal all State revenue. And government just focuses on getting re-elected... I'm glad I am old and not a kid just getting started...

Interesting to say the least. 1985? That was a long time ago. Do I feel old? Not yet. Me and a guy at work were talking about cassette adapters for 8 track players last night. Nothing ever really gets old especially if it gets a few laughs looking back. Back...to the future got me smiling right now. Yeah......and I went to clubs that played disco music, Van Halen's 1984 was still tops for the DJs, and I gave up on roller skating to meet women, and Wednesdays were nickle pitcher night. Feel old? No....I'm rather impressed that I can remember all of those days.
In 1985 I was stationed on Yerba Buena Island in San Francisco, working a duty shift of 4 days on, 4 days off.
Parachute pants, dating the hottest chick on base, driving a '71 Pontiac LeMans with both suspension springs broken on one side that leaked gas from the carb so bad that nobody was allowed to smoke near my car. 'Partied in the city in the summer and skied up at Tahoe in the winter. Literally not a care in the world, nor reason to think I ever would.
