Plan for Live Action (Actors) Zombie Apocalypse Theme Park in Detrioit

Detroit to be hit by flesh and brain-eating zombie apocalypse (but only if live-action terror theme park plan is pushed through)

How would you ENHANCE this experience?

Derelict areas of Detroit face being taken over by hordes of 'flesh and brain-eating zombies' if an ambitious business plan takes off.

He added: 'While zombies are great, the real neat thing about this project is the potential to inject some life into a forgotten neighbourhood - with the opportunity to work with neighbourhood groups and organisation'.
The project would follow in the footsteps of Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse, where thrill-seekers wield paint ball guns to play hide-and-seek with undead zombies in a formerly abandoned truck stop.

I'd wear a pork chop necklace to a pit bull convention, before setting foot in Detroit with only a paintball gun for protection.

    ^^^LMAO^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you are careful and stay out of the "really" bad zombie neighborhoods, you can minimize your interaction greatly, therby only having two or three "actual" Zombie confrontations a day.

Hey! I think I was just in that neighborhood yesterday!

The only problem I can see is that the local residents might get in and be mistaken for the zombies! j/k

Seriously, though, should we really be celebrating the demise of what was once one of our greatest cities? I think it is sad how that city has been run in to the ground over the last 40-50 years. Now these yahoo's want to turn it in to a theme park.

    I'll pass thanks.

I was thinking the same thing. Then again, I'm into paintball too. Zombie paintball would be awesome, IMO. Especially if you can do it in the city. 200 acres and it runs overnight. My god, that would be fun. This might be the only thing that could make me go to Detroit.

Think of how much money they will have to spend to bring those parts of Detroit up to code for Post Apocolyptic Wasteland. It could take thousands of dollars in renovations. :)
It's kind of like how some people have a sudden and insatiable desire to talk about vampires after the Twilight series became popular, except zombies are much less gay and more likely to exist one day

I was thinking $10's of dollars..... as in Gas and a tourch (not that I am advocating that I or anyone else here would light it on fire).

I wouldn't think it would take that much. Clean up the broken glass and make sure no building are falling in on people and I bet it would be fine.

This is a (not entirely bad) pipe dream that will never (say never) come to fruition.

Even the urban farm idea has a better chance than this one does, and the odds of urban farms/farming/farmers in Detroit is about nil.
