I noticed he was falling asleep a couple of times there. He may be sedated or something, but he really looked like he didn't have a care in the world.

Could be anything. If he's got a diagnosed mental health issue, the jail staff will probably have worked with the appropriate people to get him on meds. Till the meds are balanced out, he can look like a zombie. Some of those psych meds have some pretty serious side effects. You could just be looking at a crushed human being. Knows what he did, and his life is now essentially over. That changes people emotionally and physically. My guess is that he has a multitude of problems. Or, you like said...FAKER! IMO somebody that does what he does, and then just gives up instantly at the first sign of resistance isnt crazy in my eyes. They are a coward. Like a little kid pushing the limits. Gets away with all that he can until he meets resistance. I wonder if being a coward is a viable mental health defenseEither way this guy going down in history on his way to hell.

An Insanity defense isn't gonna work for him,there was way too much planning not only in rigging his apartment with explosives,but the acqiring the guns ammo and tear gas

The guy looked like a skinny, short, freak with that oranage lookin hair.
Looked like he was all drugged up, or attempting to look like he was on meds.
Either way, nuthin a flip of the switch, and a good 250K amps wouldn't take care of.
They're stating he used a shotgun first, then transitioned to a S&W M&P15. He also had a 40 Cal Glock on him. How convienient it is, that all those weapons were used. Get ready for the onslaught. This past Saturday July 21, I noticed a LOT of people hovering around the Black rifle section of the Store. A lot of people were asking about Glocks and shotguns as well. Maybe curiosity, or maybe their next purchase before they get scarce again.
Either way, Homes is gonna be judged by 12, sent to prison, and then when he dies is sent via express elevator to Hell.

I agree. I'd take insanity if he snapped, grabbed something laying around and went after people maybe. But this business of buying up equipment and ammo, making and rigging explosives, then buying a ticket and propping open the door. That's months of planning and work. I'm tired of all of these "insanity" defenses. Evil exists. We witness it and unfortunately some of us have had the displeasure of experiencing it at the hand of these "insane" individuals. Lets just call him what he is...PURE EVIL and be done with it. I don't need why or how. Just convict the bugger in a court of law and then take him out back.

His lawyers would almost be derelict if they didn't order a battery of mental tests and at least explore the insanity option. It would be an interesting wrinkle if a scan revealed a brain tumor.

Judging by his age and actions I would say that he might have Schizophrenia.
