What do you suggest we as a country do?
I suggest that the Government get out of the free pass business and hold people accountable for their actions or lack thereof. Once people realize that there is no free pass (for bad behavior) or free handout (for the lazy) then they will straighten out, accept responsibility and start to work. Or they will die. Groups of people will cowboy up and many of our "socialized" problems and mental illnesses will be gone.Originally Posted by aj373ku

It's called tough love and it works (unless your government continues to enable this type of behavior).

Timmy - Just how old are you anyway? Sounds a lot like the story of the Mayflower pilgrims after their short flirtation with socialism just about wiped them out.
That being said, there are indeed a lot of very real mental illnesses nowadays. The question is just how many of them are drug assisted? I am going to guess a majority but I really don't know. Some of this stuff that is out there just irreversibly fries peoples brains. No coming back from that unfortunately.
It's kind of like how some people have a sudden and insatiable desire to talk about vampires after the Twilight series became popular, except zombies are much less gay and more likely to exist one day
I have plenty of compassion for people who are really sick. It's the faux mentally ill I have no sympathy for.
