I agree it is a great show. I bought the book that it was based on about six month back. Its written by Eric Haney (retired Command Sargeant Major) and its called "Inside Delta Force". Pretty quick read and really enjoyable.

Yep I love The Unit. I got cable a couple of weeks ago just so I could watch The Unit.

Did anyone else thing the way president palmer got away from the terrorist was a bit over the top? I wont say how because I dont want to spoil it for anyone else. But ive never even heard of such a way to escape the bad guys. You think it would break every bone in your body.

I think Sean Connery did the same in one of his Bond films. Not sure if its real or practical but it makes for a "wow" in the show.

I'll find out this week or next from my agent if MY EPISODE for THE UNIT is going to be purchased by CBS. I set it here in Miami. Pretty good hook. Everybody wants to shoot tv here. It's a dang good story, too.

SKY HOOK is REAL...
Skyhook was invented during the Vietnam war. It was designed to extract SF forces where no landing zone was available. It was first tested by the famed ROGUE WARRIOR Dick Marcinko. If you remember the movie THE GREEN BERETS with John Wayne, that was the way they extracted the captured NVA General. To my knowledge it was rarely if ever used under actual combat conditions.

ahaha I can never remember the characters names and ive watched the unit since day one. Ahaha President Palmer is more fitting in my opinion. Ill stick to using the characters actualy name now that I know it though!
This show never ceases to amuse me though.

At least it is a system that works and wasn't suitcase helicopter or a jetpack. Those would be over the top.
