Feeling Safe In the Peoples' Republic of Illinois

Earlier today, I unloaded my Glocks, emptied the magazines and dutifully secured them to ensure compliance with Illinois law as we make our 161-mile journey to the safe haven of Indiana. We stopped at the Welcome Center and were greeted with two signs and a military helicopter circling overhead. The first sign announced that the center was closed due to budget cuts. The second one informed us that the water supply was coliform-contaminated and undrinkable.

If at all possible I avoid Illinois like the plague. I'm even willing to go the long way around just to avoid crossing their borders.

I get paid by the mile to go there. If I could, I'd charge double for the miles in that state.

Well, after living in Illinois for 38 years and paying outrageous taxes, I left... I ran actually.

I would love to think I was the straw that broke the camels back. But I'm awake now

$4,000.00 / year property taxes on a $55,000.00 piece of crap house and neighborhood.

$100.00 a year plus license plate sticker on each pick up truck.

    Now you got me started

City, county, sales and state taxes almost 25% of my bill on cell phones, trash pick up, water and sewer
    I think, therefore I am...

Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

Illinois has a lot going for it if you pretend Chicago and its Democratic machine politics doesn't exist. Oh, I almost forgot you also have to pretend Springfields good-ole-boys, business as usual Capitol crew don't exist either. Come to think of it, what's left is pretty much like every other state only with lousier weather. Never mind.
