It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.

Nice looking buck. Who is that ugly dude with him, though?

No, I shot that guy a few years back. I just put that photo in for comparison. The buck out back was very similar.

That handsome hunk of man is atctimmy - 15lbs.

As an aside: My wife hates this photo because of all the blood. She always says that I should have cleaned up first. I kinda like the way it is with the blood all over the place.

Just came out on the porch a little while ago with my coffee. Let Ruby, the blue tick, out for her morning walk about. down the fence line ran a black tailed weasel. My second time seeing this guy. They're fairly rare to see and weird little critters. And they lay eggs! I'll assume it was a sign of a good Monday. I could use one.

Now back to your buck.....good for you. My pasture is a doe park. The bucks stay back.....but I'll find them.

That's tiny. I got one here that I've been tracking every season since I was 12. He always seems to appear right after I fill my buck tag. A few years back I was able to get within about 50 yards and counted 14 points total, not counting drop tines. I just hope I can get him before old age does.
