Hmm. I didn't know about it. I should get my rear end out of the recliner and check. Thanks for the heads up.
I can't see it from my location. I have a beautiful view of the Southern Sky. The exact opposite direction here.
wolverine ~ It's very cloudy here also.
In fact it's actually a bit foggy but, it's cool.

GO STEELERS!
Its an absolutley beautiful night and it's perfect out, a cool 80 degrees here, where we have seen 34 consecutive days over 100 degrees.
We sat out in the front yard in lawn chairs and faced north. We saw a dozen or so streaks that came from east to west, and a few that went from north to south, until my wife called it quits.
Not a bad way to spend a night, just kicked back in the chair with the head leaned back checking out the Creation. It is good for the soul.

I went and bought 2 reclining lounge chairs just for watching them. BTW, got them for half off at walmart. Nice timing. Anyway, we have seen 7 through mostly cloudy skies. Saw 5 with my daughter and I just came in and saw 2 more. No bad considering the clouds. The first 3 were very nice. Bright, slow moving, blues and greens, with the lingering trails. I'll try again tomorrow night. We have a lot of lights around but have a nice unlit area at the back of the house we can hide in and see a few. Too bad we were not on vacation this week. I bet you could see a few from the mountain top in the middle of the Smokies.

Have been looking, but too much light where i am...am going to try late tonight and drive to a more secluded dark area so we can see better. Love to star gaze... a favorite this time of year...![]()
Yup, got my Meade telescope out also. Great shots of Jupiter and the moons.
