I don't know anything about that source. But if it's true, looks like CWII, here we come.
From the article..........
"It is only the second time since 2009 that a Russian attack submarine has patrolled so close to U.S. shores."
That they know of.
What goes around...comes around.
And how does he know that the USN didn't know where it was?
yea i don't know anything about the source either. and i honestly don't see an incentive for provocative actions like this on russia's part. but i thought it was worth noting.
Don't worry guys take it from me the cold war is over and neither we nor the Russians ever patrol one anothers waters, cough. excuse me.
Edit: cough, ehem must have caught something...cough.
We do the same thing - only difference is, they are aware of it.
I would also like to note that if a US Submarine does (really)not want to be tracked or detected, there is NO vessel in any navy that can track her including ours...trust me on this.
The cold war is over...I have the certificate to prove it LOL
I've got a blue nose certificate around here somewhere earned in 2006.
Let's suppose for a minute that a Russian sub did actually patrol in the Gulf of Mexico.
So?
The Gulf of Mexico is not Lake Michigan. We don't own it. What is part of the mission of the U.S. Navy? Ensuring freedom of the seas?
Just because an un-named source says that we did not detect it does not mean it is so.
