Yet another reason why the CA legislature (almost all one party - guess which one) needs to change the firearms laws to allow lawful carry (much easier access to lawful carry) so that innocent bystanders can protect themselves.

Although there are a couple of Sheriffs in the State who do issue CCWs, they are very far and few between, and not in the high crime areas of the state.

Anyone seen the murder rates in CA (Oakland, LA and now San Francisco Bay area, to include San Jose) by criminals with guns? They are huge.

A perfect example of why you must take the first opportunity when it presents itself. Brandishing a weapon is a statement by and of itself. To assume they won't do you any harm can be a fatal mistake.

The cashier, if he had been carrying, had his opportunity when the BG ordered him to go around the counter.

When will people understand that someone who threatens to kill you, is also likely not trust-worthy not to, even if you comply with their demands. It's really not that much of a reach to understand that.

Compliance is just not high on my response options in such a situation. Extreme violence is my pre-planned reaction.

This parking lot looks like one I saw filled with looters during the LA riots. It is near where "Fred Sanford" was supposed to live. No way I would work retail there without a weapon. Starnge how mnay times you see a video of a robber shooting a compliant clerk. Uncivilized, these robbers. Maybe LA needs more gun control laws?

He'll get off on all charges. He was entitled to the stores money because he's out of work and his 23 babies need beer. As to slashing the store clerks throat, he didn't do that. He was minding his own business holding the knife in his hand, when the clerk lunged and cut himself.
