any takers?
The expert says just remain calm and give them what they want... Let's see.. what might that be if you are a somewhat attractive female reporter? I'm speechless over this "expert" advice....

They are a fool. They are not always there, as we know, for merely the stuff. I have a choke point at which my family will be safely behind me while the authorities are called. If that person is stupid enough to come near us, I will protect my family. Loved the pic someone posted saying "the door you kicked in was there for your protection, not mine"

Just calmly give them what they want...
This will be the news report the following day:
Home Entry and Sexual Assault <<< that's a link to a real story, BTW

I have an alarm to help the moron who is unwelcome in my house know everyone knows he's here, and that he has just entered to win the prize of a "lifetime"

As a victim of two HIR's, I have only one word: FIGHT!!!
Array
"The worst thing to do is try to fight back..." That's why my plan doesn't involve any 'fighting'.
It's just my wife and myself in our apartment, as well as two cats and a puppy. If it's not my wife, and it's 'human sized', it's a target. The plan involves my wife getting on the floor on her side of the bed- which is next to the door- with a .357 in one hand, and her phone (already calling the police) in the other. Only reason she stays on that side of the bed is to keep the line of fire to the door clear.
I grab my 1911, and flashlight (220 lumens with full strobe) and hunker down behind the bed. If the door opens, the hammer falls. Home invasion problem solved.

Please take everything I say with at least one grain of salt- I am a very sarcastic person with a very dry sense of humor.
You really shouldn't do that... just trust that the Police are on the way... and you may not have had sufficient training to use that weapon... and you will be confused when you first get out of bed... No, don't do that... go hide in the closet... that'll save you...

If we go hide in the closet, that would just tempt me to use a long gun...Then there would just be bits of badguy all over the bedroom.. Not nearly as neat as a few holes from a .45.
But, on a much more serious note- I will not be beaten or killed, nor my wife beaten and raped, while waiting for the police to come save us.

I was born and raised in South Bend. The Tribune never has gotten anything right, why should they ruin their track record.

YUP.... Just give them what they want and you will be fine; just ask Mrs Petit............... OH that's right you can't she and her two daughters are dead, raped and set afire while alive!
Give 'em what they want? Sure! As long as what they want is to shuffle loose their mortal coil, I'll be happy to oblige.
