Man Sues Range Over Ladies' Day

He feels he shouldn't have to pay more and is suing the range over it's Ladies Day.

A couple things I don't understand - he had to pay $15...he's suing for $200,000 The article also mentioned he's a police officer and was going to the range to practice his shooting. Maybe it varies from state to state - but I know my LEO friend shoots for free at the police range.

Personally, I don't see the difference in Ladies Nights at the bars or senior citizen promotions at places. Of course, I may be biased...my range offers a Ladies' Day on Mondays

And yeah. My range has Tuesday-night ladies night. It's great because more women need to go to feel comfortable shooting. I'm trying to get my SIL to come with me to practice.

$200,000 in his dreams. I would like to see the damages computations. <Right> Of course, he'll find some attorney that will argue it's his Constitutional Right, and then the Range will settle for $10,000 to avoid the vexatious tactics of the plaintiffs.

It's called advertising, boosting awareness and participation amongst underrepresented groups. And it's good for the cause, too, helping the next generation of typically-underinvolved (as groups, shooting-wise) to get more involved and excited about the prospects of defensive skills.

Discounted child rates, at carnivals, zoos, restaurants.
Discounted rates at the local pub, at "off" times during the day (ie, happy hour).
Matinee rates, at the local movie house.
Senior pricing, at restaurants.



But I shouldn't have to pay more. Waaahaaa-aaahahahaaaa! I know ... I'll sue 'em. That'll teach 'em.

Yup. Getting the guys out of their hair for an afternoon ain't a bad thing. Pursuing a comfort zone without the high-testosterone competitive aspects ain't a bad thing. Nor is being out-shot by 90% of them once they get their "running" legs, and very often quite a bit sooner. Amen, to all of it.

To many lawyers or could it possibly be that the Government by deciding who can and cannot be discriminated against has unintentionally opened the lawsuit flood gates?
