My gf has never shot a gun before or even handled one until I taught her the basics of firearms and gun safety. She said she is ready to shoot my M&P22 this weekend at the range! I am very glad she is taking an interest in shooting and that we can have something we both enjoy doing together. Who knows, maybe she eventually will want to go gun shopping!

According to Carbonated TV ,consider following safety rules:
1. Patient instructor (it is quite possible that it won't be you)
2. A variety of guns for her to try, both revolver and semi-automatic
3. An outdoor range
4. Familiarity with the weapon
She needs to shoot a variety of guns. And, please, if your gf has small hands and is a bit afraid, don't stick a large caliber gun in her hand first thing!!!! You don't want to add to any anxiety that she may be experiencing! Let her progress at her comfort level. Start out on a .22.
