Can you say WOW!
This photo was taken by a soldier in Afghanistan of a helo rescue mission. The pilot is a PA Guard guy who flies EMS choppers in civilian life.
Now how many people on the planet you reckon could set the butt end of a chopper down on the roof top of a shack on a steep mountain cliff and hold it there while soldiers load wounded men in the rear??? If this does not impress you ... nothing ever will. Gives me the chills and a serious case of the vertigo ... I can't even imagine having the nerve ... much less the talent and ability ...
God Bless our military!!!!!

Two things hit me as a I saw that picture:
1. Amazing photo - the pilot has nerves of steel.
2. Where was the photographer when taking the photo?
Truly a great example of the skill and determination of our soldiers!

That pic is ''doing the rounds'' recently but for sure - it appears the pilot is almost doing the impossible

The merely difficult they do at the drop of a hat...the impossible takes a little longer.
I'm more and more impressed with the men and women of our armed forces.

I've seen simialr first hand but it was usually Navy or Marine pilots, the fact that it's a Guard Pilot makes it that much more amazing if you ask me, not knocking the guard or anything but they usually aren't that good.

Man for man (or woman for woman), National Guard pilots are every bit as good as their active duty counterparts. Many, if not most, were active duty before they transferred to the reserve components.
Regardless of his status, this helo driver has big cojones.

That is amazing, and I've seen it done before. While you are all saying how good the pilot is, don't forget the Crew Chief, he's the one who can see the back end of that thing and keep the pilot straight!
