Need Ideas for Gun Fighting Scene
Since our only son went off to college this month my wife and I have found a new hobby. Green screen video. We painted a spare room all green (yes, we are that bored sometimes). Anyway, we want to make a humorous movie to send to him while he is at college. We want to do a war scene or some gun fighting scene. We would put ourselves into the real scene. Our two cats would play minor roles :)
Wife was thinking of Kill Bill. I was thinking a D-Day movie (we can be crawling through the obstacles on Omaha beach.
Any ideas?
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Get some friends and re-enact the big shoot out from "Reservoir Dogs".

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Maybe something from Pulp Fiction? Not necessarily "gun fights" but some crazy gun related scenes that could be made humorous with some cats!

That's great! I can't tell my husband about the green room or I'll have one here and we don't have the space! I'm surprised he hasn't thought of that himself! He has 2 green screens and has been making movies with the kids for years. Most people have normal home videos of their kid's - first steps, birthday parties, etc...we have "Dinosaur Hunters", "Answer to Vito" and "Johnny Valentine's Family" (both mob movies) and many many more.
Have fun with your project! Would love to hear what you decide on!

Well there is that scene from the first Boondock Saints when they are all around the table drinking and Rocco takes the cat out. You could use the green screen to put yourself in that room reenacting the scenes leading up, with your cat on the table. Then as you hit the table/gun, cut to the movie scene of Skippy hitting the wall and imediatley back to you and the wife for Roccos hillarious follow up line. Of course, youll need one more person. Its a great scene and even as a cat lover I have always loved it.

Forrest Gump ... including the Ping Pong Wizard scene. The cats might come in really handy, in this one. Imagine them sitting astride the pile of shrimp after your first big catch, big Cheshire grins and all, and the look of disdain they give you as you're "humpin' in the Delta" or diving into "Charlie's" tunnel.
Das Boot ... showing your "military" versatility.
Good Morning, Vietnam ... All sorts of possibilities, here.
Tora! Tora! Tora! ... Sort of like the old Bugs Bunny story of his great-great-great-great Gramps being here, there and everywhere, from the crossing of the Potomic to the westward migration. You could play both sides, be pilots and soldiers, be on the Arizona shooting the guns at the bombers, and getting a headache in the war room about the encrypted codes.
Sounds like fun.

Send your son a movie of you studying, and mom studying, and both cats...studying. Tell him it's a Bill Gates documentary about guaranteed-success later in life.
