Time Slice by Kerry Downing - interesting fiction for you sci-fi fans. I enjoyed it.
Outside of bible study, I've actually gotten wrapped up with Dave Ramsey material. I am starting the 9-week class series tomorrow, but I've already read the manual cover-to-cover and bought More Than Enough and EntreLeadership to start on in my spare time. I'm a soon-to-be-CPA and have learned a TON from this guy already. Great common sense and easy-to-understand reading.
OD, how cool! Thanks for the info! Is it okay for me to ask friends to look me up to be friends on FB? If so, I'd love to be your fb friend.
Unbroken-Laura Hillenbrand (True story of an American pilot during WW II, crashed at sea and was a POW in a Japanese camp)
Star Trek:Kobayashi Maru
Getting ready to read:
The Epoch Index
The Human Legacy Project
(all short stories by Christian Cantrell)
Hear that? Cha-ching! Why bother with a sample when the book is so reasonably priced on Kindle?
I'll let you know what I think....

Just finished No Easy Day the story written by the Seal who helped take down OBL
Before that was American Sniper... about Chris Kyle Seal sniper.
Just got a copy of In The Gravest Extreme for my next read.
"Assignment to Hell"
A book about WWII journalists, including Walter Cronkite and Andy Rooney. While I held both in high respect for their WWII efforts, I learned a lot more about them and raised my level of respect even higher. Great book! I can just see "Little" Andy manning the guns of that B-17 !

And by the way, I've taught Concealed Pistol License classes for over 10 years and consider Jeff Cooper and Massad Ayoob to be the last words on the issues... Also trained at Gunsite :)
So, I'm delighted to have found you guys!
Now reading "No Easy Day" by Mark Owen. It is a firsthand account of the mission that killed Osama Bin Laden.
Two recent books:
The Narrows (Harry Bosch) by Michael Connelly
The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Relgion by Jonathan Haidt
A fascinating book about how Liberals and Conservatives differ in thinking about moral issues. It explains why people have such a difficult time talking rationally about these issues. Also check out www.yourmorals.org and you can see how you score on the research instrument.
