Kentucky roadkill: being served now at your local chinese restaurant

My dad emailed me this morning and I thought I would bless your Monday with it. Stay away from Red Flower Chinese, KY friends - the geniuses will be allowed to reopen once they "properly sanitize!"

"They said they didn't know that they weren't allowed to,” Lawson said. “So that makes me concerned. But maybe they could have before. They didn't admit to doing it before.”

As a born-and-raised Kentucky boy, I say "Ha!"

Edit: I also say I'd rather have road-kill deer in my Chinese food than the what-I-am-pretty-sure-was-cat-meat I've had once or twice in Atlanta.

    I have three reasons I don't care!

    1. I love Chinese food.
    2. I love Venison.
    3. I'll eat any animal if you cook it right.

All joking aside, meat needs to be regulated.

Anything is edible if you cook it long enough....and have plenty of ketchup

When it comes to Asian Restaurants, rural Kentucky road kill is better than New York City alley kill EVERY SINGLE TIME!. At least that venison was sweet-grass fed. And yes, I agree that "meat needs to be regulated"...at 'bout 250-300 degrees, for 'bout 2 hours, with BBQ sauce.

In AK, roadkill is collected and fed to prisoners. Poor guys.

They used to feed roadkill deer to prisoners here. They should feed them boiled sailcats and dead skunks.
Dad says in the 50's in Clear Lake, CA, there was a guy with a roadside shop selling hot turkey tacos. One day the wardens caught him bringing the boat in with a load of poached mud hens (coots). Dad says they tasted fine, but the stand was closed down.

Back when I was a young yuppie in Atlanta, my co-workers and I would all go at least once a week for lunch at a Chinese place (over in Vinings) that had the best buffet ever.

They later got busted for serving unfortunate local dogs and cats. The food truly was incredible, though.

Perhaps, but I still wouldn't eat my wife's Brussels sprouts.
