Warning shots: Not a good idea here
Shooting to wound: Not a good idea here...
But things are a little different in Malaysia (I think that's where this article was written)
Quote:
“Therefore, there are several steps. If a citizen sees danger to the life of another person, in the case of a gun owner, the weapon owner can fire warning shots if he is able to do so and if the warning is ignored by the aggressor, and there is danger to the victim's life, the weapon holder could use the weapon to shoot the aggressor initially at non-fatal parts, like for instance the legs or arms.
“But if the danger to the victim is perceived to result in immediate death or serious injury to the victim, then the person with the weapon can shoot to kill the aggressor purely to avert the bigger danger.”
You guys have all been practicing wrong, and loading your guns wrong... the first two rounds should be blanks (that will cycle the action) so that no one is injured by your warning shots... and you should quit your Mozambique drills (2 C.O.M. and one to the head) and learn to hit non fatal parts like legs and arms...
or not...
But here's the Malay perspective: Story
