I don't quote wikipedia often, but this time, it nails it.
"The concept of character can imply a variety of attributes including the existence or lack of virtues such as integrity, courage, fortitude, honesty, and loyalty, or of good behaviors or habits."
This kid demonstrates fine, fine character.
Brought tears to this ole mans eyes...
Trooper Fox found his own replacement! :35: RIP Trooper!
Some people (kids too) get it, more and more don't. That's an example that would make any parent proud.
Were snowballing in the wrong direction, I hate to think what it will be like in 10 years.
Just my $.02
I hope my own sons will develop to be fine young men like this Scout is sure to be.
Glad i was not the only one who got choked up reading this.
His parents need to buy him a Ferrari for his 16th b-day.
What an awesome young man. His family and his community must be proud of him... I know I am.
Respect taught early, then applied correctly and backed by his own strength of character.
Bravo Zulu to this young man and those who influenced his choices. Also to those cops who saw this young man's salute (in uniform) and made sure to recognize and celebrate righteous behavior as an example of whats good and right with some of our young folks!
Good for this young man, there is indeed hope.
Kid's parents should be real proud of him.
I saw this a few days ago and it is just a strong now as it was then. This young man (he has earned the title in my opinion) may be a Scout today but in a few years he may be an Explorer (Law Enforcement Explorer). Maybe a few years after that he will be a proud member of the Virginia State Police. He certainly sets a good example for all. I have the utmost respect for our Virginia State Troopers. Dedicated professionals doing their best to make Virginia safer for all who are here.
