Neat video of LA getting a space shuttle that Houston should have gotten... We got the plywood model. Every time I think about this politically driven injustice I get angry all over again.

Things that make you go "hmmmm."

I wonder how many eaves, roofs, trees and power lines had to be cut or temporarily moved to accommodate it.

At 151K pounds dry, I wonder how many sections of roadway were damaged with its passing.

It probably didn't weigh quite that much after they drained the gas, oil and windshield washer fluid.
It's kind of like how some people have a sudden and insatiable desire to talk about vampires after the Twilight series became popular, except zombies are much less gay and more likely to exist one day

probably none, it was spread out over alot of axles, a fully loaded 5 axle semi is 80k, and I read that they put down steel plates in places to distribute the weight even more.
