Take a look at the lawyer's web site. His email address is AOL. Ya think maybe he could do a bit better for a "professioal" law office?

If I were defending the City, I'd argue to the Jury that the damages should be awarded in Pesos.

It's only fair that the Plaintiff know what he's receiving!......

Heres the real kicker: the guy is sueing for lost wages as well as the usual physical/emotional damages.

That would set a precident that any criminal could sue for lost wages while incarcerated. Any money an illegal makes is the result of a criminal activity or three (being in the country illegaly, some one is employing an illegal, and no one is paying taxes on that money).

I'd love to see that law suit...

    Man I can relate.

Being LO in South FL. It was my choice to learn Spanish.
But I'm getting tired of translating all the time.

Wear a small dept. myself and one Latin officer Se habla espanol.
Hoping this lawsuit gets tossed. bad precedence.

Just because a lawsuit was filed doesn't mean that the plantiff will win, or that the case will even be heard.

you know i have the same feeling....if he wins ALL law enforcement agencies are in trouble as is the government. I think it will get tossed out in the higher courts if it makes it that far because it will cause a crippling precidence for anyone not speaking or claiming to not speak english. Just too dangerous. Oh yeah that lawyer needs to get his car keyed in spanish!!!!!!!! im spiteful like that =O) oh yeah i wonder if the lawyer speaks spanish or if he had to hire a translator....lol
