Sounds to me like a made up story. People will believe anything though.

We have a patch of greens in the back yard. It takes a lot of um to make anything worth ur time because they cook down so much. Hey I love my grits too and creasy greens that we get out of the fields. Put some vinegar on them and wow! With fried fat back of course and cornbread. But I have never knew anybody hoarding them, LOL I don't like them that much...

Richard has it right, this stuff is great.

That's more ridiculous than I thought. And to put it in perspective, I figured you were going to post this image that's been going around the internet with the title "I've got all the necessary supplies for Hurricane Sandy."

Let 'em hord it, I just need gas, canned goods, and ammo. Digging in or bugging out, 'kale' is not a priority for me or mine.

    hoarding kale..... LOLHAHAhahahahahahahaha.......

Yep. I married a gorgeous southern woman who is also a great cook. We eat kale, collard greens and turnip greens quite often. Sautée until they are wilted and add some vinegar and hit sauce: mmmmmm!

I loaded up on Frito corn chips, vienna sausages and beer. Does that count as preparing for the storm?

Gotta juice the kale. Then you get all the goodness out of it.

Had I planned ahead I would have got a solar panel for my juicer.

    Hoarding kale? What the......

That won't be something I would hoard, let alone eat during a disaster.

I'm still one of the bread-eggs-and milk kind of guy in disaster preparedness. Without those, we're doomed.

I like Kale,..mixed with spinach leave, add some oranges and salad dressing ? I also make kale chips, super easy and takes away the bitterness. But would I hoard it ? hell no! hahaha. We have a generator and usually have food/water preps, storm or not. But we'd be munching brats off the grill for dinner, not kale!
