Here Is What Your Children Are Being Taught In School
Wake Up America.
Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea
We don’t have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff
We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you
We haven’t killed all the polar bears
But it’s not for lack of trying
The Earth is cracked
Big Bird is sacked
And the atmosphere is frying
Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You can’t cut spending
With elections pending
Unless it’s welfare dough
We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you
Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair
It’s a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long term’s kind of a drag
We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, we’re blaming you
You did your best
You failed the test
Mom and Dad
We’re blaming you!

I have always had a problem with Government schools using children to promote their agenda. Even before the electronic media age when schools would send kids home with pamphlets notifying parents on how they should vote on upcoming funding elections.

What school was that shown in? I would like to send them a letter!
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

It's The Future Children Project they do political ads for the donkey party.
This would be their their latest ad. Which is modestly disgusting and highly manipulative of young impressionable children.
But, party politics is not my reason for posting it.
My reason for posting it is the fact that public schools with a specific agenda are turning kids against their parents.
They are slowly and incrementally attempting to strip parental authority away from the parents and to usurp that for themselves in order to control their thought processes to fit their agenda.
If you get them when they are young enough you can shape and mold them into anything that you want them to be as they get older.

I'm pretty sure this doesn't have much in common with what our children are being taught in school. A bit about who is behind this:

For some reason, this reminds of the time I switched political parties so I could vote for Hillary in the 2008 primary.

I will agree with that somewhat. I will tell you a story I heard at college the other night that will tick you off (and most every other intelligent person).
The class was full of teachers and students getting their education degree. I will make this short.
We were talking about how far teachers should go in elementary school about the elections. I said the only thing the teachers should do is teach the Constitution, the elctoral process, and basic bio information about the candidates (B-day, college, jobs, family, ect...)
One lady said that was their job becasue the PARENTS do not do it at home and the teachers were better at telling the students which candidate is better than the other. At this point my blood boiled.
Another lady said at her school they have a mock election but the ballots are not secret. The teacher will look at them and then advise the child why they chose the wrong candidate. Ove 80 percent in the room thought that was a great idea.
Thought you would appreciate that
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

I would much prefer horse whipping the anti-Americans who came up with such an idea.

Stupid people. I am all for free thinking people, but do not get me started on educator responsibility. I find it inappropriate that educators would seek to influence children in any way that does not stay middle of the road and promote an agenda rather than teach information and how to be a good citizen. Anything more is just a pathetic attempt to influence children. Raising kids is a parents job, whether they do it or not is not up to us educators to fix the problem or influence it either. If a student wants my opinion I will give it to them, however I do not feel the classroom is the place for it.
The example that suntzu gave unfortunately happens in many, many classrooms and schools in some form or fashion and it is sickening.
