I'll bet the OSHA man just fainted.

That's pretty neat! Can you buy that or is it something he made himself?
I love the satisfying crunching sound it makes.

I know that thing looks lethal but like everything else in life, you have to be careful and not hot dog around while using it.
Ever seen a hand that has been caught in a Kitchen Aid mixer?

Definitely wouldn't have kids within 100 yards of it.

It's homemade, and it sort of looks like it's the final drive off of a small tractor?

Looks like it is running off of a PTO unit, That hing couldn't be more dangerous if he tried to make it that way.

Here's another video I saw awhile back, it would sure make my wood cutting/splitting go a lot quicker! BUT, then I think about how much LP I could buy for the cost of the machine... On the other hand, just the 'cool' factor of this baby might make it worthwhile...

Actually, that looks a lot safer than axes and wedges.

There's got to be some breaking point, in terms of the size of branches/logs it'll handle. Which begs the question: I wonder if he's tested the limits of the thing ... and where's that video (buried with Uncle Jimmy-Ray)?

After a career of dealing with OSHA you can be sure they would never approve of this thing.

But I love the innovative re-purpose here. Look around and you will see that we just throw everything away today and wonder why our economy is tanking. I like to take things and modify them, give them new purpose and extend its life.

Great point. We all need to do that more. I love to see inventive people make new things out of old.
