Branson, MO advice
I'm planning on taking the family to Branson this weekend and I was wondering if anyone has some advice. I have a 7 year old girl and I'm all about musical shows and Branson type shows and whatever else there is (when in Rome...).
So any experiences on places to stay, things to do, shows to see, or anything to avoid or anything else.
Thanks!!

I'm not sure I spelled that correct. We saw his show in the late 90's, it was very good.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME.

The Dixie Stampede.
Loads of horses to walk around and look at before the show. Once inside it's a dinner with your fingers-no utinsils kinda thing sitting around a big rodeo arena with lots of horses, action and is a hoot for little person.
We went a few years ago with our little one and we all had a blast.

Check out Silver Dollar City for the kids! A great (but pricey) place to stay is Big Cedar Lodge about ten miles south of Branson just off of 65.

Re: Branson, MO advice
I live in Branson and get tired of a lot of the shows in town but taking that into account there are some places I still enjoy taking my family.
Silver dollar city
Shepherd of the hills
Clay cooper show
The Haygoods
Dixie stampeed
Six
Sight and sound (story of Joseph)
These are a few off the top of my head. Let me know if you have any questions. Branson is a beautiful place to visit around this time of year. Even when things slow down a bit.

Thanks all. So far we've hit silver dollar city and the castle rock indoor water park. Both are big hits, but water park is especially big hit.

That's when I like to go when the crowd and the heat is down...

Went to Branson once and would like to go back.
A great 'family friendly' place to visit, and I doubt that there is a bad show.

Nope, not really any bad shows there!
I kinda like the Presley's! And Jim Stafford puts on a good afternoon show.

If you can, find a place to stay on Indian Point. That way you are traveling "against" traffic going to Silver
Dollar City, Shepherd of the Hills and many of the shows in Branson.

I learned how big a deal the traffic is. All in all, a very successful trip. There were tons of things we didn't have time to do, so that just sets the agenda for next time.

+1 on Silver Dollar City. I like it better than Disney or Busch Gardens.

Just for the record, the family owning Silver Dollar City were among the biggest contributors against MO's CCW law.

Interesting to know.
Geez... The last time I was in Branson I think the biggest show in town was the Foggy River Boys. SDC wasn't too bad either I suppose...
